Welcome to Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Portugal Section

This website is dedicated to publishing updated information on activities organized by the local IEEE (Chapters, Centers and Student Affinity Groups) or other information that may be of interest to both IEEE members and for those who have interest in new emerging in the area of Technology.

The IEEE is the world’s largest non-profit professional organization, with the aim of contributing to the advancement of technology. Currently the organization has morethan 375,000 members, spread over five continents and is divided into 10 regions. Detailed information about the IEEE can be found at ieee.org.

The Portuguese section is part of the Region 8 (Europe, Middle East and Africa) of the IEEE and it is part of a universe of hundreds of members comprising professionals from different areas of technology, as well as a growing community of students from different Portuguese Higher Education Institutes.
